The sixth World Internet Conference concluded Tuesday in the river town of Wuzhen in eastern China's Zhejiang Province.

Liu Liehong, deputy head of the Cyberspace Administration of China, said at a press conference that several reports had been released during the conference, providing references and talent support for global internet development.
国家网信办副主任刘烈宏在新闻发布会上表示，大会期间发布的报告广受关注，为全球互联网发展提供了新的思想借鉴和智力支撑。
According to Gao Xingfu, vice governor of Zhejiang Province, more than 600 enterprises participated in the "Light of Internet Expo," a side event of the World Internet Conference. These included 107 overseas companies and organizations, up 30 percent over the previous year.

The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) on Tuesday announced that three scientists from China, the United States and Ireland shared 2019 UNESCO-Equatorial Guinea International Prize for Research in the Life Sciences.

Chinese professor Tu Youyou, along with American doctor Cato Laurencin and Professor Kevin McGuigan from Ireland, won the fifth edition of the award following their "outstanding scientific research projects in the life sciences that have led to an improvement in the quality of human life."
中国的屠呦呦教授、美国的凯托•洛朗森博士以及爱尔兰的凯文•麦圭根教授凭借“提高人类生活质量的杰出生命科学研究”而获奖。今年是该奖项的第五届。
Tu Youyou, laureate of the 2015 Nobel Prize for Medicine, "is recognized for her research into parasitic diseases. She discovered an entirely new anti-malarial treatment, artemisinin, which made possible the treatment of thousands of patients in China in the 1980s," UNESCO said in a press release.
